My name is Katalina Klein. I began my career after earning my MBA, diving into the world of corporate strategy—first at an international company, then within the fast-paced tech sector of a software firm. It was a world of big-picture thinking, problem-solving, and streamlining complex systems. But over time, I felt the pull toward something more tangible—something that blended strategic thinking with real-world impact.

 

That pull led me into real estate, where I became a California-licensed broker and spent over two decades guiding clients through buying, selling, and developing properties. It was during these years that I saw how strategy could transform not just deals, but entire projects—helping clients see opportunities others missed.

 

But my passion for smart, efficient construction ultimately led me into the world of modular design, where creativity and efficiency converge. In 2015, I founded Kubed Living, focused on designing, engineering, permitting, and managing shipping container and modular projects—overseeing every phase from concept to completion. Along the way, I authored a book on shipping container construction, exploring one of the most innovative sectors of modular building.

 

Through all of this, one thing became clear: because modular construction is still a young and evolving industry, the process is often fragmented—leaving clients to navigate disconnected teams, misaligned priorities, and complex steps on their own. What was missing was someone who could bring it all together. Clients don’t just need someone to execute every part of the process—they need a strategic advocate.
